The Problem To Be Solved:

Illustrated in Fig. 1, showing the hand in contact with germs and bacteria while lifting a toilet lid. Eliminating this very unhealthy, unnecessary practice [of being subjected to it] daily, can be the goal of everyone - including all handicapped persons and individuals of compromised health systems.

Solves the Problem:

The Hi"Genie"^TM Toilet Lid with Handle eliminates the need for hands and fingers to make contact with the unsanitary toilet seat and provides a convenient handle in order to lift the toilet seat cover and seat.

The Lid
The lid is manufactured with a built-in handle, molded in one piece, protruding in the front approximately 1 to 2 inches beyond the toilet seat. This protruding handle makes it easy to grab with the hand or fingers and lift or lower the toilet seat cover.

The Seat
In manufacturing, the seat is molded as one [solid] unit with projecting wings [arms] on either side of the seat, as shown in Fig 3. This also acts as handles, since they protrude approximately 1/2 to 1 inch along the seat. Thus eliminating contact with the major section of the seat when lifting.

Versatile
The lid can be manufactured as a separate unit to replace older lids of standard toilets using the existing hinge. Otherwise newer toilets would require the combination on a special hinge arrangement. Material can vary from hardwoods to solid plastics.

Benefits
